Terms of Service

Last updated: June 8, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Mosetric, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Description of Service

Mosetric is a personal finance tool that consolidates transaction data from user-uploaded files and optional API connections. It is not a bank, financial advisor, or tax preparation service. Charts and categorizations are provided for informational purposes only.

3. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate registration information
  • Keep your password confidential
  • Only upload or connect data you have the right to process
  • Not use the service for unlawful purposes
  • Comply with third-party terms when using Plaid, Splitwise API, or uploading exports from Venmo, Splitwise, or banks

HTML exports from Venmo or Splitwise are user-provided files, not official integrations. Mosetric is not affiliated with Venmo, PayPal, or Splitwise.

4. Third-Party Data

Transaction data may include names or notes about other people (for example, roommates on Splitwise or friends on Venmo). You represent that you have a lawful basis to store and process that information in Mosetric for your own budgeting purposes.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

Mosetric is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee accuracy of parsed data, categorization, or chart calculations. Always verify financial information against your official bank statements.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mosetric and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including financial decisions made based on displayed data.

7. Not Financial Advice

Nothing in Mosetric constitutes financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. Consult qualified professionals for financial decisions.

8. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
